Why Hiking?

Hiking is a great activity that keeps you stay active while appreciating the great outdoors. It is accessible to almost anybody, no matter their skill or fitness, as there are trails of all levels of difficulty all over the world.

Hiking has lots of health benefits. It has been shown that walking can improve muscle tone and bone density, as well as trigger the release of endorphins which can help overall mental health. It is also a great way to socialize with friends, as you spend countless hours exploring trails and appreciating natural beauty. For these, and the countless other benefits hiking offers, I definitely recommend everyone gives it a try!

Hiking in Central Oregon

As residents of Central Oregon, we are lucky to have access to countless trails within just a short drive from our homes. These trails lead to breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, and more. Below, we will explore some of my favorite views and trails of the area, so that you can choose your next adventure!

Misery Ridge at Smith Rock

A classic 3.7 mile hike rated hard for its strenous incline up the ridge. The challenge is defintley worth it for the views of the park and the world famouns Monkey Face and the peak of the trial.
